"Our competition is the person we were yesterday."
"Getting submitted isn't losing. Everything else is information."
"No submission, round, promotion, medal, or ego is worth injuring another member."
"Beginners don't have to earn the right to feel welcome."
"Skill is demonstrated through control."
"Jiu Jitsu is part of life. It isn't supposed to replace it."
We are not trying to manufacture world champions. We are building the kind of room we would want to train in ourselves: a place where kids find confidence and real friends, families find community, and working adults can disconnect from the fight of life for an hour, move their bodies, laugh, learn a beautiful martial art, and walk back into tomorrow stronger than they were today.
We take Jiu Jitsu seriously. We just don't believe you have to take yourself too seriously to practice it.

You don't need to be the strongest person in the room. You just have to keep showing up.
